Marit & Timo | Beautiful Wedding in Tulivee
Prologue
In 2008 Marit finds out that her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend (Timo's sister Stina) will be her coursemate in university. At the first student orientation lecture Marit kindly keeps a seat for her ex's new girlfriend. Upon entering the room Stina sits next to Marit and they become inseparable friends at university. Having (had) the same boyfriend is not an obstacle for them but instead brings them closer together. Some time passes. Said boyfriend is now in the past for both girls and the winds of change are blowing. The friendship between Marit and Stina keeps getting stronger. Marit finds out, among other things, that Stina has a famous brother who won the show "Naabrist parem".

Stina occasionally drives her brother's car and offers rides to Marit as well! Therefore, Marit was in Timo's car for the first time in 2008, although they did not meet until 5 years later! By the way, the same car still exists. Life goes on and many things happen. During spring of 2012 Marit goes to Spain with Stina to visit Stina's mother and her boyfriend. Back then Marit did not know that she will return to that place several times and will dedicate a portion of her life to having her wedding there (which was cancelled, as we know). In the summer on 2013 Stina brings her brother to Marit's birthday. The party was nice, first dances were danced together and the first glances exchanged.

After the 16th of November 2013
On a fall evening Marit packs up her previous life and goes to her good friend. Stina and her boyfriend had planned to go to Tartu that night and kindly leave their home to Marit.
Stina is getting ready for the weekend. She is currently in the shower when her phone rings: the caller is Timo, the brother. Marit picks up and tells him about her plan of spending the weekend at Stina's. Timo promises to come visit with a bottle of red wine. Stina and Mario are on their way to Tartu and Timo arrives at the apartment soon enough, wearing new dark blue pants and holding red wine in his arm.

The evening turned quite frisky. So frisky, that nobody knew what to do next. Plus, it was slightly awkward: what and how to even tell her best friend....
Stina texts Marit "Do you know why is my couch blue?" when her and Mario get back at the end of the week and Marit has already left. Oh those dark blue pants....
What followed was extremely fast. It had been only a week and a half since the first date when Marit moved in on Räägu street with her big bags.
The following time goes as usual for couples who have not been together for long. There is a carefree period of dating and getting to know each other. The most memorable trip was probably Iceland. We both remember floating around in a glacial lake in June.
At some point Timo often ends up looking at puppies on okidoki.ee. However, finding a suitable puppy was far from easy. Thanks to a colleague of Marit we discovered the Lagotto Romagnolo breed and soon we had a puppy in the house.
We planned the next long trip to discover the West Coast of the United states. During the trip Marit had a slight health issue that she thought to be due to the time difference. However, after returning home we found out that the puppy will not be the only baby in our house.

In March we started to look for a bigger home - it took time and effort but eventually we got our home. Aurora was born in September of 2017. In our own opinion we have lived the typical young family life since the birth of our child. It is new and exciting but also challenging for us. On the other hand, full of love as well.
We celebrate our anniversary on the 16th of November. Each year Marit was secretly hoping to get a ring but the proposal at a restaurant never happened. On August 6th 2019 Timo proposed to Marit at home. Timo was quite nervous by that moment and could not wait for Marit to get fully dressed. She had only one pant leg on when Timo got down on one knee.

Timo is probably one of the most chill people you could meet in life. One of his most admirable traits is that he takes everyone as they are.

He does not try to change anyone and does not expect others to see the world like he does. If there is a situation he cannot change he will not waste energy on it. He rarely gets upset. His free and accepting personality is probably what makes him appealing to many - it is easy to talk to him and being in his company is never uncomfortable. Of course he is handsome too. Timo has a wide range of knowledge, especially in sports. Motorsport is definitely number 1 - he knows all the drivers, competition rules and commentators.
Timo is a very caring and benevolent person. On the other hand closed off too. This means that getting to know him may take time. Nevertheless, the process is so enjoyable that the long time does not matter. Every child wants a father like Timo - he is very playful and fun and willing to do everything for his daughter with fluctuating moods. Timo is also admirable as a partner and husband. He is playful and fun in that relationship as well. But there is also a feeling of safety and security and everything being well. It is just so good to be together.

Looking back on the seven years we have been together I am very happy to have met her.
I like that she has a restless spirit.
Standing in one place and doing nothing does not suit her. I am the optimiser type and like to do as little as possible. Marit is the complete opposite.
She gets ideas about what to do next when watching TV or reading something. An example: The TV program SYKE. A couple episodes in she gets the idea to go on a trip to Finland. Or the news show AK talks about an upcoming art exhibition and Marit is already looking up the opening times of KUMU. If I did not have a person like her next to me, I would probably not go anywhere and would miss so many exciting places and events.

Sometimes it feels like she has chosen the wrong career path. She could be the best sommelier in the world with her sense of smell. She immediately recognises the smell of something going bad in the fridge, etc. The smell has uncovered quite a few things that have happened...
Neither of us can sing or dance but I am jealous of her art skills. She can paint and draw very well.
She is not Gordon Ramsey but with the help of a recipe every dish tastes good. She follows the recipe meticulously, so that the dish turns out exactly as described.
Marit is very conscientious. In all work duties and home chores as well. I have liked her sense of humour from the beginning, though I must admit that as time passes the jokes keep getting better.
Marit is an amazing mother. She is incredibly patient when raising Aurora, although she usually tends to be impatient and have a shorter fuse.
