Piia & Leho | Winter wedding… Or summer better?

“Honestly, neither of us remembers our first meeting. It happened in a youth summer camp when we were 12 and 13. Still, the meeting was enough to keep in touch even after the camp. At some point, though, the communication faded, and we both went on to live our separate lives... Until a beautiful spring day 8 years later when we happened to see each other once again, and from that day it didn’t take long until our wedding.”

“Our favorite memories of one another are from doing things together, and for both of us, those moments have something to do with cars.” Leho reminisces over them fixing his car together, and Piia’s favorite memory is from a time when that same car worked again. In particular, a moment one picturesque sunset evening where driving and listening to music together, Piia all of a sudden knew that she would want to spend the rest of her life with Leho.

“Thinking back on our small winter wedding, only warm thoughts come to mind – a beautiful ceremony in a church and, after that, a truly enjoyable photoshoot in snow and ice rain. Many came to ask later on whether we caught a cold that day. We did not. I suppose there was more than enough warmth in the embrace of a fresh spouse (or his car...).”
