Katrin & Ardo | Beautiful Spring Wedding in Leigo
In the summer of 2012, we both found ourselves at the Pallas graduation party at Genialistide Klubi. Not because either of us had any particular reason to be there – we had simply been invited along by friends. Meeting at the bar, we struck up a conversation that lasted throughout the entire night and into the early hours of the morning. At sunrise, we went our separate ways – only to meet again a few days later on our first date.
Summer, Tartu, the Emajõgi River, Tartuff – that’s how it all began.

In truth, we had been moving in the same circles for years: the same high school, the same folk dance group, and the same school newspaper team. We shared friends and attended the same birthday parties. Even the same university in Tallinn, where our paths crossed most often at the Technical University bus stop. Yet somehow, we both found our way back to our hometown of Tartu.

From September 2012 onwards, we often spent our evenings in a delightfully antisocial way in a Vaksali Street apartment, sitting on a light grey sofa – Ardo at one end with his computer, programming and building his company, Kati at the other, studying anatomy and memorising the tiny bumps of bones. The rest is history.
Thirteen years later, we are happy that one chance encounter laid the foundation for a shared journey, a home, and a family – and, by now, a not-so-random wedding celebration. We are deeply grateful to our family and friends who have been with us from the very beginning or joined us along the way.
